EDGEWATER, FL — In a compassionate move to combat pet overpopulation and promote feline health, Edgewater Animal Shelter has announced a series of Free Cat Spay & Neuter Clinics this fall, made possible by a generous grant from the Winder Family Foundation. 🐾

The first two clinic dates are set for Wednesday, November 20 and Wednesday, December 4, offering vital services to cat owners in need. Each appointment includes a free spay or neuter procedure, along with a rabies vaccination at no cost. Pet parents can also opt for microchipping at a discounted rate of just $15, helping ensure their furry companions stay safe and identifiable.

These clinics are by appointment only, with limited spots available and priority given based on need. All bookings must be made through CCFAW by calling or texting 386-405-1559.

“This initiative is a game-changer for families who want to do the right thing for their pets but may struggle with veterinary costs,” said a spokesperson for Edgewater Animal Shelter. “We’re grateful to the Winder Family Foundation for helping us make a real impact in our community.”

Local residents are encouraged to act quickly to secure a spot and take part in this life-saving opportunity. By participating, they’ll not only protect their own pets but also contribute to a healthier, more humane future for cats across Volusia County.
